Check that the fitting or lamp holder is rated for 150w, run the lamp through a dimming thermostat, and fit a lamp guard to prevent contact with the hot glass. This lamp provides heat and visible light only, so add a separate UVB lamp where the species requires one and verify temperatures at the closest reachable surface.
