ProRep Tortoise Life Substrate 25Kg is part of the species-specific “Life” series, developed for Mediterranean, Russian, and other terrestrial tortoises. This large-format bag contains a professional mix of loam, soft sand, and limestone grit to replicate the natural soils found in tortoise habitats. The texture supports natural digging, burrowing, and grazing behaviours, while the added limestone provides a safe source of calcium if ingested. The blend holds moisture to create localised humidity zones without becoming waterlogged, helping to maintain a healthy enclosure environment for tortoises of all sizes.

Spread across the enclosure floor to a depth of at least 5cm for juveniles and 15cm or more for adult tortoises, particularly Russian tortoises that burrow extensively. Lightly mist specific areas to provide localised humidity, while ensuring the substrate does not become saturated. Spot clean daily to remove faeces and soiled sections, and fully replace every two to three weeks or as needed. This large bag is ideal for keepers managing multiple enclosures or larger tortoise habitats.
