ProRep Crestie Life Substrate 10 Litre is part of the species-specific “Life” series, designed for geckos, small arboreal reptiles, and invertebrates such as stick insects. Its open-structured, moisture-retaining blend supports high humidity levels while preventing stagnation. Slightly acidic, it inhibits bacterial growth and is suitable as an egg-laying medium or as a substrate for plants that prefer neutral to acidic soil.

Spread the substrate evenly over the base of the enclosure to a depth of 2.5–5 cm for general use. Lightly mist or pour water into one corner to create humidity gradients, ensuring the substrate remains damp but not waterlogged. Spot clean daily, removing faeces and surrounding substrate, and replace small amounts as needed. Full substrate changes are only necessary if the substrate becomes overly wet or heavily soiled. If using a heat mat, mount it on the wall at the top of the enclosure; do not use a thick layer of Crestie Life over an under-tank heat mat to avoid overheating.
