Spread evenly across the enclosure as a base layer or use as part of a custom mix with other substrates. Mist lightly to maintain dampness, avoiding oversaturation which can cause instability. Spot clean regularly and replace every 4–6 weeks, or sooner if heavily soiled. In planted setups, substrate longevity is extended if waterlogging is avoided.
